VINTAGE 3.1ctw DIAMOND 12mm MABE 9mm SALTWATER PEARL COCKTAIL CLIP EARRINGS 1950
This is a UNIQUE PAIR of VINTAGE CLIP-ON COCKTAIL EARRINGS that are made during the 1950s from 18K WHITE GOLD with 14K WHITE GOLD CLIPS. The closing clip is stamped and numbered: 14K PAT 2583985. The earrings are set with 2 MABE WHITE PEARLS on top that measure 12 mm and 2 SALTWATER WHITE PEARLS hanging freely at the bottom that measure 9.7 & 9.9 mm. Below the Mabe pearls, the earrings are detailed with 2 MARQUISE CUT DIAMONDS of H color, SI clarity that weigh approx. Along with 2 BRILLIANT CUT DIAMONDS that weigh approx.
The center pieces of the earrings have an ARCED SHAPE and are CHANNEL-SET with 12 BAGUETTE DIAMONDS of H color, VS1 to SI1 clarity that weigh approx. 2.0 carats in total. I suppose they could easily be filled and polished smooth if so desired. There are a couple of scratches around these holes as well - see last pic.The total diamond weight is approx. All of the diamonds are WHITE, BRIGHT & CLEAR with GREAT SPARKLE.
The white gold on the back of the mabe pearl area has faded to yellow from wear against the skin. This can not be seen when the earrings are being worn, of course. The earrings measure 1-13/16 long and the total weight is 15.1 grams. Don't hesitate to ask any questions or for comparison photos.
