Vintage 1950s 18K Yellow Gold with Amethysts & Diamonds Earclip Clip Earrings

This is a pair of gorgeous vintage clip earrings from the 1950s! The earrings feature a faceted purple oval amethyst in the center that is cased in 18K yellow gold; there is a textured tear drop shape of 18K yellow gold on either side of the amethyst which lead to a semi-circle of six (6) little diamonds.

The amethyst on each earring is approx. 3 3/4 ct and the diamonds are about 1/32 of a ct each. The earrings weigh 9.7 grams and measure approx. The backside clip part is marked "18K" and what looks to be "LT".
