Vintage/Antique 9 Ct Gold Carnelian Earrings. I'm positive that these earrings were made at the first third of the 20th century, so they could be on either side of the 100 year line that determines whether they are vintage or antique. The small imperfections of the handmade jewellery witness for their authenticity. The carnelian cabochons are in impeccable condition. One of the signs of their age is the fact that they are not signed. Someone replaced the old closure, probably the hook & screw, with clip-ons. That was done very well, but the clasps are not gold. Even so, this is an outstanding pair of old jewellery. 2.5 x 1.8 cm.
